Optimal on behalf of its client,is seeking to recruit a Distributor Lubrication Engineer, based in Athens, to strengthen its technical and commercial presence in the industrial market.
Job Summary
This is a strongly field-oriented and customer-facing role. The successful candidate will spend the majority of his/her time visiting existing and prospective customers, working closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams to understand their operational challenges and develop value-added lubrication solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Regular field visits to industrial customers and prospects.
- Conduct plant audits, lubrication surveys and equipment/application assessments.
- Identify technical needs and new business opportunities together with the Sales Team.
- Recommend products and technical solutions.
- Support product upgrades and competitive conversions.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support.
- Manage used oil analysis, trials and Proof of Performance projects.
- Quantify and document customer benefits, including maintenance savings, reduced downtime and improved equipment performance.
- Deliver technical presentations and customer training
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Chemical Engineering.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in industrial, maintenance, reliability, or technical-commercial roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in Greek and English.
- Commercial awareness and ability to translate technical solutions into customer value.
- Extroverted, energetic, proactive and comfortable spending most of the working week in the field.
- Strong relationship-building skills and genuine interest in meeting customers and developing new opportunities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Sales Team.
