Starting Salary: $40,560

This position is open to the public and all current City employees covered under the City’s collective bargaining agreement with Laborer’s LOCAL 1092 – BARGAINING UNIT 53. Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

Under supervision, participates in the City’s Automated Speed Enforcement program verifying speed enforcement incidents, and performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Reviews photographic and video evidence captured by automated enforcement camera equipment to validate Municipal Code violations.
• Reviews photographic evidence and event data, associated with potential parking, red light, and speed violations captured by automated enforcement cameras.
• Applies criteria as defined by the City of Chicago Municipal Code and accepts or rejects incidents as violations.
• Enters license plate numbers and related data into a personal computer (PC) to document such facts as vehicle, location, or time of day.
• May retrieve and record requested photo images, as required.
• Prepares daily activity reports.

Hours:              8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
