The Surgical Technician / Registered Nurse position is part of the Surgery Department and is a full-time role working 80 hours per two-week pay period. Flexible daytime hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The position includes on-call responsibilities, which include weekend and holiday coverage. Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience (for Surgical Technicians)
OR - Active Ohio Registered Nurse license required for RN candidates
- BLS certification required
- Previous operating room experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
- Calm under pressure, independent thinker, and committed to exceptional patient care and customer service
- Provide perioperative patient care within the Surgery Department
- Perform all duties of a surgical scrub technician, including maintaining a sterile field, handling specimens properly, and assisting practitioners during procedures
- Maintain proficiency in central supply and sterilization procedures and techniques
- Assist in managing and maintaining surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
- Support teamwork, safety, and professional standards in the perioperative environment
