Social Media Manager

We are looking for a self-driven and experienced professional with a strong understanding of social media, fashion and culture, and a refined eye for content. You will help shape how GUESS connects with audiences through digital storytelling, campaigns and cultural moments.

This is a role with a high level of ownership, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, cross-functional collaboration and the ability to drive projects forward from concept to delivery. 

Your mission is to ensure GUESS digital content and channels reflect the brand’s vision and DNA through a social-first approach. You will translate campaign ideas into platform-native storytelling, bringing together cultural relevance, creative excellence and measurable impact. Most importantly, you will help shift GUESS from social supporting campaigns to social actively shaping them.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Director of Social Media & Advertising in implementing the Company’s global social media strategy across key platforms and consumer touchpoints
• Oversee the day-to-day coordination of the global social media function, making sure priorities are clearly defined, team activities are aligned and projects move forward efficiently
• Coordinate the work of the Social Media team, ensuring alignment across strategic priorities, creative development and execution
• Manage the global social media content calendar, ensuring content is planned and coordinated in line with brand priorities, campaign timelines and product launches
• Oversee the execution of social media campaigns, product launches, brand initiatives and always-on content across relevant platforms
• Ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence across global social media channels, maintaining alignment with brand identity, tone of voice and communication priorities
• Collaborate closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, PR, Paid Media and E-commerce teams to ensure integrated communication, align organic and paid social activities, and maximize the impact of content across consumer touchpoints
• Monitor social media performance, audience insights and platform developments, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, reach, audience growth and overall effectiveness
• Track and report on key social media KPIs, translating performance data into actionable recommendations and optimization opportunities
• Identify relevant social trends, cultural moments, emerging formats and platform innovations to strengthen the brand’s social presence and cultural relevance
• Support creator and influencer initiatives, ensuring content and activations align with the overall social media strategy and brand positioning
• Manage relationships with external agencies, platform partners and other relevant stakeholders
• Establish and continuously improve workflows, processes and best practices to enhance team collaboration, planning and delivery
• Maintain global social media guidelines and best practices, supporting regional teams in adapting content to local markets where relevant
• Explore new tools, technologies and AI solutions to enhance social media planning, content development, performance analysis and workflow efficiency

Requirements

• 7/8 years of experience in social media, digital marketing and/or communications within fashion, lifestyle, retail or another culturally relevant consumer brand
• Proven experience developing and implementing global or multi-market social media strategies
• Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok and other relevant social platforms, including formats, communities, publishing workflows, paid amplification and performance drivers
• Demonstrated experience managing social media calendars, campaigns and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong fashion, design and cultural awareness, with a refined visual sensibility and excellent taste. Able to translate trends and contemporary aesthetics into authentic, visually compelling brand content, particularly for platforms such as Instagram
• Strategic yet hands-on, able to translate big-picture thinking into actionable plans and drive effective execution from concept to delivery
• Strong understanding of organic and paid social media, and how they work together to support broader business and brand objectives
• Experience managing or mentoring team members, with strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present strategies, performance insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
• Strategic and analytical mindset, combining an understanding of creative storytelling and brand building with the ability to interpret social media performance and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience using social media analytics, reporting and publishing tools, such as Sprout Social, with familiarity with content creation tools such as Canva
• Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies relevant to social media is a plus
• Fluent English and Italian; additional languages are a plus
