Primary School Music Teacher

We are looking for a Primary School Music Teacher for an international school based in Beijing. This position is available for the 2027/2028 academic year, starting in August 2027.

About the role

As a Music Teacher, you build on students’ core musical skills while exploring deeper concepts in rhythm, melody, instruments, and vocal technique. You encourage creativity and critical thinking through music as self-expression, collaborate across subjects, and support performances and events that showcase student progress.

• Teach progressive music skills: rhythm, melody, instruments, voice, and performance
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and musical self-expression
• Collaborate cross-curricularly with other departments (e.g., history, technology)
• Plan and participate in showcases, concerts, and school events throughout the year

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in your subject area
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in a bilingual setting preferred
• At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom
