ABOUT US

The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities.  We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better.  It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

Why this role matters

At The Salvation Army, we are committed to sharing the love of Jesus by caring for people, building healthy communities, creating faith pathways and working for justice. This role plays a vital part in strengthening connections within the Greater Grampians community by developing and delivering inclusive, needs-based programs that respond to local needs, foster belonging, and create opportunities for people to access practical support, community connection and pathways to hope.

About the role

As a Community Engagement Worker, this is your opportunity to develop and deliver community programs and initiatives that respond to local needs while building meaningful connections between individuals, families and The Salvation Army.

Reporting to the Team Leader/Corps Officer, this is a permanent, part-time, offering up to 20 hours per week, onsite role located in Greater Grampians, VIC.
