About us

Our cofounder, who previously led the financial department in another company, experienced the pain around procurement processes and the lack of clarity and information. To solve this, he founded Najar in 2021. In just a few years, we’ve grown to several millions in ARR supporting 200+ customers in France and across Europe in their procurement journey, growing the team to 70+ people (including remote employees).

Following a successful Seed funding round and a Series A of €15 million led by 13Books, Portage and Tomcat, we are focused on continuing our growth and expanding our impact in the market. We have the ambition of being the leading procurement solution in France, and Europe. Our goal is to become the strategic partner for businesses, their Architect of Trust.

Your role

You will play a key role in optimizing procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, and strengthening supplier relationships. You will work closely with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and maximize value.

Procurement Strategy & Optimization

• Develop and execute IT purchasing strategies aligned with business needs,

• Optimize procurement workflows and supplier selection,

• Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and favorable terms.

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance,

• Benchmark vendors to ensure best-in-class solutions,

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and risk management.

Cost & Performance Analysis

• Monitor IT spending and identify cost-saving opportunities,

• Track procurement KPIs to drive continuous improvement,

• Ensure data accuracy and maintain procurement records.

Impact & Innovation

• Run several client procurement strategies in parallel, adapting your approach to each company’s, size, industry and maturity,

• Share what works across segments with the team through our Negotiation Lab,

• Give structured feedback to Product & Tech, test new features and help design the AI use cases that will automate tomorrow’s procurement.

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing consulting or a negotiation-heavy role, ideally on IT / SaaS spend,

• A strong negotiator, comfortable facing large software vendors and speaking with CFOs and CIOs,

• Fluent in French and English (part of our clients and vendors are international),

• Structured and data-driven: you back every recommendation with numbers.

• You’re comfortable switching contexts, from a 50-person startup to a large corporate, within the same day,

• You’re curious about AI and already use it to work smarter, or want to,

• You enjoy building, not just running: improving how things are done matters to you as much as closing the deal.
