Red Cross Shop Volunteer – Orange NSW

Looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community, meet new people, and stay active?

Why choose to volunteer in a Red Cross Shop?

Join our friendly team at Red Cross Shop Orange and help make a real difference!

Whether you're retired, returning to the workforce, looking to build your confidence, gain new skills, or simply want to connect with others, we'd love to hear from you.

Every shift helps raise vital funds for Red Cross programs while supporting sustainable shopping and providing affordable items to the local community.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Enjoy meeting and chatting with people
• Have a positive and friendly attitude
• Like working as part of a team
• Are reliable and able to commit to a regular shift
• Are happy to lend a hand wherever needed
• Want to make a positive contribution to your local community
• Are at least 15 years of age

Our stores rely on volunteers to operate successfully, so we ideally look for volunteers who can commit to a regular 4-hour shift each week. Please include your preferred availability in your application, and we'd be happy to chat further about whether we can accommodate it.

What does a typical day look like in a Shop?

As part of your regular 4-hour shift each week, you'll help keep our shop running smoothly by:

• Welcoming and assisting customers
• Processing sales through the register (cash and EFTPOS)
• Sorting and pricing donated items
• Creating attractive displays and stocking shelves
• Keeping the shop clean, tidy and inviting
• Working alongside a friendly team of volunteers and staff

What’s the application process?

• No need to upload a resume – just tell us why you’re interested in the role
• We’ll then have a friendly interview in store and ask you a few questions and you can ask us questions too
• Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
• You will also be required to complete an Induction into our organisation and Retail program

Apply Now and let’s get you started on a rewarding volunteer journey in one of our Red Cross Shops.
