Shift Leader - Pirate Adventure Golf and Splash Park

Shift Leader - Pirate Adventure Golf and Splash Park
Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, Walker Bay, Hermanus
Permanent, Wednesday to Sunday

About Us

Benguela Cove is a luxury wine estate on a protected lagoon in the Kogelberg Biosphere. Pirate Adventure Golf and the Splash Park are where families spend the day with us, and the person who leads the shift sets the tone for it.

The role

You will lead the team on the course and splash park on each of your five days. You will run the floor, look after guests of all ages, and own the birthday parties from first welcome to the last goodbye. During the winter months you will move across the estate and work in Moody Lagoon restaurant, the Tasting Room or the Shop as required, so we are looking for someone adaptable who enjoys variety. Full training is provided, including wine knowledge.

What you will do

• Lead and brief the team each shift, and keep the course and splash park running safely and smoothly
• Welcome families, greet children warmly and handle questions with a smile
• Run children's birthday parties, including setup, hosting and the handover to the parents
• Operate the tills accurately, and open and close them correctly
• Answer party and general enquiries by email, and record every party in the estate events calendar
• In winter, support the restaurant, Tasting Room and Shop teams to the same standard

What you bring

• Hospitality experience, ideally in a restaurant, hotel, leisure or family venue
• A natural way with people, and real ease with children
• A friendly, confident personality
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Experience with till systems and email
• A smart, professional appearance
• A flexible, hands-on attitude and willingness to work wherever the estate needs you
• Availability every Wednesday to Sunday, including weekends and school holidays

What we offer

A permanent position on a beautiful working wine estate, with full training, variety across the year and a team that takes pride in the guest experience.
