ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional wine experience to our guests, from presentation and service to expert advice and cellar management.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Welcome guests and guide them to the right glass or bottle, whether they are wine lovers or simply curious;

• Serve wines with care and ease, sharing the story behind each bottle, producer and region;

• Maintain excellent knowledge of our wine list and by-the-glass selection, and stay curious about new wines, producers and trends;

• Perform end-of-service tasks: cleaning, organizing the bar and floor, and getting everything ready for the next service;

• Keep all work areas in optimal condition (cleanliness, maintenance and functionality);

• Share your knowledge with the team through informal tastings and training sessions;

• Help manage the wine cellar and bar stock, including suggesting selections and placing orders;

• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and preservation of bottles, including open bottles served by the glass.

ABOUT YOU

You have proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role.

You have an excellent professional appearance, and you are dynamic and motivated.

You possess strong organizational skills, work efficiently, have a good team spirit, and excellent interpersonal skills.

You are attentive to detail and always focused on guest needs.

You communicate easily with both teams and guests, using appropriate and professional communication skills in Portuguese and English.

Knowledge of Micros systems would be an advantage.

Finally, you are available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
