We are looking for a Legal Councel to join our Team

Role and main tasks

As Legal Counsel, your main responsibilities will include:

Commercial Contracts & Transactions

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal support in the negotiation, review, interpretation, and management of commercial agreements.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements with customers, partners, suppliers, and technology providers.

• Support strategic projects, partnerships, corporate transactions, acquisitions, divestments, and other business transformation initiatives.

• Conduct legal due diligence and assist with transaction execution and post-closing integration activities as required.

• Enhance standard contract templates and related processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

• Ensure contractual arrangements are enforceable, commercially sound, and aligned with business objectives while appropriately managing legal risk.

Legal Compliance & Advisory Support

• Support internal stakeholders in monitoring and assessing legal matters, with a particular focus on data protection, international sanctions, competition law, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Provide legal advice to various departments, including Product, Roaming, Technology, Sales, Procurement, and other business functions.

• Advise the organization to ensure that:

• Telenor Connexion operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Contractual arrangements are enforceable as intended and do not pose undue legal or commercial risks.

• Legal, regulatory, and liability exposure is appropriately identified and mitigated.

Corporate Governance & Formalities

• Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder matters, corporate formalities, powers of attorney, and internal governance processes.

• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Group policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls.

Management of External Counsel

• Select, manage, and coordinate external legal counsel effectively and cost-efficiently.

• Oversee external legal advice and ensure alignment with business priorities and risk appetite.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Continuously improve legal processes, contract management practices, and compliance frameworks.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and related governance processes.

• Drive initiatives that enhance the efficiency, scalability, and business impact of the legal function.

You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and be based in Solna, Sweden.

Experience and skills

• A degree in law (LL.M)

• 5 - 7 years of legal experience from a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in an international context.

• Knowledge of contract law and preferably also data privacy.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
