This Full-Time on-site opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment and may lead to long-term career growth within the College.
Work Location: Langford - 117-777 Goldstream Avenue Langford, BC V9B 2X4
Salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students with StudentAid BC, Indigenous funding, WorkBC, employer sponsorships, and other third-party funding applications.
- Guide students through funding requirements, documentation, timelines, funding processes, and student responsibilities.
- Review, maintain, and monitor financial aid files, applications, approvals, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and escalate funding delays, discrepancies, unusual circumstances, or compliance concerns as appropriate.
- Support campus administration activities, including student onboarding, orientations, appointments, correspondence, and reporting.
- Provide professional front-line customer service and respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Student Services, Student Accounts, Finance, and campus leadership to support student success and a positive student experience.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in business administration, office administration, accounting, finance, education administration, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in administration, student services, financial services, customer service, or a related environment.
- Experience in post-secondary education, financial aid, banking, lending, or a regulated private training institution is an asset.
- Experience with StudentAid BC or other government-funded programs is a strong asset.
- Strong administrative, organizational, records-management, and customer-service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly, respectfully, and accurately.
- Sound judgment when handling confidential personal and financial information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn student information and financial aid systems.
