Mid Network Engineer

Job description

We are looking for our new team member who will join our team as a Network Engineer and will be responsible for mainly campus network infrastructure. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) 

• Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices 

• Monitor network performance and integrity 

• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure 

• Mentor team members on technical issues 

• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) 

• Communicate with users when needed 

• Maintain complete technical documentation 

• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability 

Requirements and skills:

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in the networking field 

• Solid background in network engineering and architecture 

• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) 

• Familiarity with access control models and network security 

• Good knowledge of wireless technology. 

• Professional certification (e.g. CCNP) is a plus 

• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Zabbix, Scrutinizer)  

• Experience with Aruba Campus solutions 

• Experience with Cisco, Juniper switches and routers 

• Experience with Arista switches is a plus 

• Experience with FortiGate Firewalls 

• Sharp troubleshooting skills 

• Organizational and mentoring skills 

• Strong knowledge of L2 and L3 loop prevention mechanisms 

• Strong knowledge of SSL and IPSEC VPNs 

• Ability to monitor, lead and give guidance to team members if needed 

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and participate in periodic on-call duties
