Position Details Position Status: Temporary Full Time Term Ends: February 16, 2027 Location: Garrison Green, Facility Management BW Hours: 77.50 FTE: 1.00 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0800-1415/0745-14005 Union: AUPE GSS Rate of Pay: 26.40 - $27.46 PCN: SSGGMW02 Date Competition Closes: September 28, 2026 The Opportunity Position Summary: Under general supervision performs a wide range of skilled mechanical maintenance and repair work related to the building, equipment, and operating systems as per the Carewest standards.
Representative work includes: Demand facility maintenance as required by the customer. Preventative maintenance on all facility systems and equipment , which includes but not limited to HVAC, Life safety systems, Nurse Call, Telephones, patient beds and lifts, plumbing and drainage systems. Provide assistance to all other maintenance staff, as well as contractors. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications & Experience: - High School Diploma is required. - Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle. - Minimum two years related experience in building maintenance in an institutional setting is required. - Mechanical aptitude is required. - Demonstrated experience working with customers. - Ability to read and understand written instruction. - Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.
