Let's talk about the role...

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you'll be a key part of our Halesowen team, working with a vibrant and diverse mix of clients. Your time will be split 70/30, around 70% on audit and 30% on accounts, giving you real variety and the chance to build well-rounded technical skills across both areas.

Plan, lead and complete audit assignments (around 70% of your time), from fieldwork through to file review
Prepare statutory accounts and support with client accounts work (around 30% of your time)
Be the first port of call for your clients, building strong relationships and getting under the skin of their business
Review the work of trainees and juniors, giving helpful feedback and coaching along the way
Spot opportunities to add value and flag them to managers and directors
Keep on top of changing accounting and auditing standards so our work stays accurate and compliant
Manage your own workload and deadlines, and keep everyone updated on progress

Let's talk about you and your skills...

Hungry for a new challenge, you'll:

Have solid audit and accounts experience, gained in practice
Be part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent), or be well on your way
Have a good understanding of UK GAAP and ISAs
Be confident running your own jobs and reviewing the work of others
Communicate clearly and build great relationships with clients and colleagues
Pay close attention to detail, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
Enjoy working as part of a team and helping those around you to develop
