Job Description
Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:
Accountant in Cash Reconciliation team (Operational accounting)
Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Reconcile daily cash sales recorded in the finance system against bank statements and cash collection records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded cash sales, cash collected by cash-in-transit providers, and amounts credited to bank accounts.
- Ensure the accurate and timely allocation of bank receipts to the relevant cash sales, collection records, and general ledger accounts.
- Monitor cash-in-transit balances and outstanding deposits to ensure that all expected cash collections are received and accounted for.
- Identify, analyze, and follow up on missing, delayed, duplicate, or incorrect cash deposits.
- Liaise with banks, cash collection providers, local business units, and internal finance teams to investigate and resolve cash discrepancies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Degree in accounting, economics or finance field;
- Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit field;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems;
- Excellent organizing abilities and attention to details;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies;
- Fluent English language skills (both – oral and written) to communicate with colleagues in Europe.
