Junior Python Agentic AI Developer

As Junior Python Agentic AI Developer you will design, build and maintain Python web applications and APIs (Flask, FastAPI or Django) that bring LLM-based agents and AI features into the daily work of YouGov Shopper teams, automating production, delivery and analysis processes. You will act as technical owner of the solutions built, working closely with the global teams, local teams and other stakeholders to turn business needs into reliable, secure and well-documented AI-powered tools.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do:

• Design, build and deploy Python web applications and REST APIs using Flask (or similar frameworks such as FastAPI or Django) that make AI and LLM capabilities available to internal users.

• Build agentic AI solutions: LLM-based agents that use tool/function calling, retrieval (RAG) and multi-step workflows to automate production, delivery and reporting processes.

• Integrate LLM providers and agent frameworks (e.g., Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or vendor Agent SDKs) into backend services.

• Develop the backend logic behind AI applications: API endpoints, authentication, orchestration, background jobs, data access, and prompt and tool management.

• Build simple web front ends (HTML/CSS, Jinja templates, JavaScript) through which users interact with agents and review their output.

• Connect solutions to internal and external data sources via APIs and SQL databases, with secure handling of credentials.

• Test, evaluate and monitor AI features: write unit and integration tests, evaluate LLM output quality, and track cost, latency and reliability.

• Package and deploy applications using Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

• Act as technical solution owner: update and bug-fix according to assigned tickets, manage releases and keep documentation up to date.

• Communication – keep the management team and key stakeholders updated on project progress and issues, and keep project tracking up to date.

• Contribute to Agile delivery, code reviews and engineering best practices.

These are the essentials for having an interview:

• Strong Python skills: clean, tested and maintainable code.

• Experience with Flask or another Python web framework (FastAPI, Django), including building REST APIs.

• Understanding of how LLMs work: prompting, embeddings, RAG, function calling/tool use.

• Familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK), or a strong interest in learning them.

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; ORMs such as SQLAlchemy are a plus.

• Basic front-end skills: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Jinja templating.

• Integrating with external APIs (authentication, REST calls, handling responses and errors).

• Git/version control, automated testing (pytest) and basic CI/CD practices.

• Docker and cloud deployment (Azure, AWS or GCP) are a plus.

• Good level of English (for both oral and written communication).
