Job Description

We offer a competitive salary for this role, with an expected range of $52,800-$75,000 per year. The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications. General Dynamics – Bath Iron Works also provides a variety of benefits including medical & dental insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plan, flexible spending accounts/HSAs, life and disability insurance, company paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), health coaching, athletic trainers, employee assistance programs and onsite health services.

Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Case Manager ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. The Case Manager plays a key role in supporting employees throughout their medical leave and safe return to the workplace. This position meets directly with employees to review return‑to‑work documentation in alignment with collective bargaining agreements and serves as the primary liaison with outside healthcare providers to coordinate required paperwork. The role manages real‑time tracking of employee status, provides regular check‑ins for employees out of work, and ensures they have access to appropriate support and resources.

This role works closely with multiple internal departments—including Medical, Safety, Personnel Records, and Production—to ensure a smooth and timely return‑to‑work process. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation within electronic databases, supporting daily office operations such as answering calls and managing equipment, and assisting with special projects as assigned. The ideal candidate brings strong case management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
