YOU

The Associate Shipper/Receiver is responsible for filling customer orders and stacking inventory using different types of powered industrial trucks and equipment. The right candidate has a strong work ethic and commitment to being reliable, punctual, and willing to go above and beyond for the customer.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Pull customer orders using a Personal Digital Assistant and palletize product. (70%)

Generate bills of lading, reports and labels. (15%)

Maintain a clean work environment. (10%)

Receive and stock product. Complete company-required and assigned training. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 1 year of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Equipment: Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Attendance: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Speaking: Able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization
• Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment
• Problem Solving: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists
• Results Focus & Initiative: Ability to multi task and take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment
• Teamwork: Ability to work with other team members to accomplish group goals

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Jacksonville, FL.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$19.00 / hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions.
