The Role: Editorial Lead, E&D

The Role: We are looking for an experienced and independent editor with strong leadership and people-management skills to take on the role of manager for part of the Platts Gurgaon Editing & Digital team, under S&P Global Energy.

Working closely with reporters, editors, analysts and digital colleagues across regions, you will help ensure our news, pricing and other editorial content meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, timeliness and impact in a real-time publishing environment.

This is both a people-leadership and hands-on editing role. You will manage and develop a team of 6-7 editors, oversee the daily editing workflow, and provide senior editorial judgment on complex, sensitive and high-visibility content. You will also act as an escalation point for challenging editorial and style questions and provide guidance on coverage approaches, story framing and presentation.

The role also has a digital and innovation focus. You will support the effective presentation of our journalism across Platts' digital channels and help drive the adoption of tools and processes that improve editorial quality and efficiency, including the appropriate and responsible use of GenAI.

The Impact: You will play a key role in maintaining the quality, speed and effectiveness of Platts' editorial output during APAC and EMEA hours, working shifts across both time zones. Through coaching, feedback and development, you will strengthen the capabilities of your team and help maintain consistently high editorial standards.
