Pay: $22 - $28 + performance bonuses up to $2,500.

Job Summary:

As an Account Development Representative (ADR), you'll own a dedicated book of approximately 500–700 customer accounts and grow them entirely over the phone. This is a proactive, outbound selling role – not order-taking. You'll build relationships with pool builders, service companies, and retailers, uncover what they're buying elsewhere, and increase share of wallet by showing how SCP/SPP can add value to their business. You'll work alongside our field sales team and Sales Centers to make sure every account gets the right level of attention, every day.

What You'll Do:

• Own and manage an assigned portfolio of approximately 500–700 accounts, developing a call plan and cadence that ensures consistent, proactive contact with every customer.
• Make a high volume of outbound calls to existing, lapsed, and underpenetrated customers to drive sales, margin growth, and share of wallet.
• Complete the full sales cycle by phone – identify needs, recommend solutions, quote, overcome objections, negotiate, and close.
• Monitor customer purchasing patterns to spot declining accounts, missing product categories, and cross-sell/upsell opportunities, and act on them quickly.
• Promote POOLCORP products, programs, early buy and seasonal promotions, and digital tools (including POOL360) to maximize customer purchasing through all of POOLCORP's channels.
• Win back lapsed and at-risk accounts and help convert prospects into active, loyal customers.
• Use a wide array of communication channels – phone, email, text, and virtual meetings – to stay connected and responsive to customers' real-time needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of all customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up details in the CRM.
• Achieve or exceed shared metrics for daily outbound calls, customer conversations, sales growth, and account penetration.
• Partner with Territory Sales Representatives, Sales Center teams, and Customer Service to resolve issues and deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Report to the Sales Manager and collaborate with Sales Center and Regional Managers to grow the business.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• 1–3 years of sales experience, ideally in inside sales, telesales, or account management within a distribution or B2B environment.
• A proactive, competitive hunter mentality – comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and asking for the business.
• Proven ability to manage a large book of accounts, prioritize your time, and work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
• Resilience, self-motivation, and disciplined follow-through.
• Comfort with technology, including CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), Microsoft Office, and multi-line phone systems.
• Pool, irrigation, building products, or trade distribution experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED; a two or four-year degree is a plus.
