SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Join our dynamic and inspiring environment to take the lead in managing and developing our Marine and Protective business segments within the country. In this key role, you will drive commercial excellence by strengthening customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing strategic sales initiatives.You will play a pivotal role in defining and executing customer-focused growth strategies, translating business objectives into actionable plans, and driving sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term success.
This position will be based in Algiers and will report directly to the General Manager and be a member of the Management Team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the Local Management Team by discussing, influencing, and deciding on company strategy to drive the company in the right direction and achieve expected results.
- Lead, develop, and support staff by communicating ambitions for personal, professional, and career development in line with The Penguin Spirit, ensuring sufficient resources and competencies to realize the strategy.
- Lead, manage, and develop the organization by effectively organizing, delegating, and distributing responsibilities and authority using Jotun performance tools to ensure focused, efficient, and cost-effective business operations aligned with strategic directions.
- Monitor and follow up on the business operations of the assigned segments through regular interaction with reporting managers and management teams, providing adequate and efficient support.
- Build and effectively lead the Sales organization through hiring, coaching, retaining employees, and providing skills and competence development programs to improve management effectiveness and sales per salesperson efficiency.
- Maintain a strong payment collection mechanism to ensure compliance with acceptable norms, while managing other functions such as Marketing, Technical Support Service, and customer service.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in sales management.
• Flexibility to travel within the country as required.
• Fluency in English and French is a must.
