Service Crew members perform a variety of flock management activities, including but not limited to:

• Report to the designated company location each workday and travel with the service crew to assigned farm locations.

• Vaccinate, tag, weigh, move, and handle birds according to company procedures and animal welfare standards.

• Catch and transfer birds for movement between pens or facilities.

• Assist with flock health activities by observing birds for signs of illness, injury, abnormal behavior, or mortality and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Perform general flock care and support activities as assigned.

• Assist with pen setup, cleanout, and preparation for incoming flocks.

• Adhere to all company biosecurity, animal welfare, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures to protect flock health and maintain regulatory compliance.

• Properly operate, clean, and maintain equipment used by the service crew.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

• Communicate effectively with Farm Managers, supervisors, and fellow team members regarding daily activities and concerns.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Reliable transportation to report to the designated company location each workday.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays based on operational needs.

• Animal husbandry or agricultural experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, grip, and twist throughout the workday.

• Ability to routinely and repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull 50 to 60 pounds throughout the workday.

• Ability to repeatedly handle and lift live turkeys weighing up to 50 to 60 pounds during activities such as vaccination, movement, and flock management.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, damp, wet, and noisy agricultural environments.

• Ability to work around live poultry, farm related odors, dust, disinfectants, and other agricultural chemicals.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all biosecurity requirements.
