What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality Control Technician, you'll play an important role in making sure every product leaving our facility meets JTM's high standards for quality and food safety.

You'll work closely with our Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to help keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet JTM's quality and food safety standards.
• Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment and production areas are ready for safe food production.
• Verify product codes, packaging, labels, and line changeovers for accuracy.
• Inspect incoming packaging materials and review ingredient Certificates of Analysis (COAs), as needed.
• Collect, weigh, and document product samples, including shelf-life samples.
• Conduct and verify scheduled equipment swabbing and sanitation checks.
• Identify and immediately report food safety or quality concerns.
• Place nonconforming products, ingredients, or packaging materials on hold according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely quality control records and documentation.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Take ownership of your work and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Previous quality control or food manufacturing experience is a plus!

• Be willing to learn new processes and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Be comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be flexible and willing to work a swing shift between 2nd and 3rd shift.
