General Purpose: 

Responsible for cleaning and completing all janitorial jobs assigned.

Essential Functions: 

v Clean and sanitize restroom toilets/urinals/sinks/counters/partitions/wall and clean mirrors, refill restroom dispensers.

v Clean Glass, Dust, and wipe furniture: Sweep, Mop and vacuum floors: Collect and empty all trash and clean wastebaskets and garbage containers.

v Recycle all paper, plastics, and cardboard.

v Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools: buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high speed burnishers and side by sides and vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, carpets, furniture, etc.

v Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. USE AS DIRECTED.

v Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis  

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

v Two to three years of janitorial experience 

v Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

v Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed & involved written or oral instructions.

v Ability to lift at least 50lbs

v Minimal Knowledge of all floor machines. (Vacuum, Burnisher, Side by Side machine,)

Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised: 

v Ability to work in a group setting

v Works with Minimal Supervision

Special Working Conditions: 

v Work with Electrical Equipment

v Work in hot or cold, wet or dry environments

v Work in dirty and dusty environments 

v Bending/ Squatting is required throughout the day while mopping, dusting sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, burnishing etc.
