The Heart Institute (HI) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is seeking applications for a full-time BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist with additional sub-specialty training in Interventional Catheterization. The successful applicant should be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with preference for candidates with more than five years of post-training experience.

We seek a highly motivated academic physician with a strong record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement, and research productivity. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth and national reputation of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory through innovation, research, education, and outstanding patient care.

Supported by three full-time faculty members, the Cardiac Catheterization service performs over 1,000 procedures annually. The program is currently undergoing a significant facility expansion that will ultimately feature four primary, bi-plane procedural suites. Three of these suites are dedicated to the interventional catheterization service, comprising two dedicated catheterization laboratories and an innovative combined catheterization/MRI suite. The fourth suite is a dedicated bi-plane electrophysiology laboratory that is fully equipped to support catheterization cases. Additionally, the clinical facility includes a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room.

The HI is an internationally recognized academic center of excellence for Pediatric (congenital and acquired) and Adult Congenital Cardiac Care, and clinical and basic science research. The HI incorporates the CCHMC Divisions of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Molecular Cardiovascular Biology. We provide the full range of cardiac services for our patients throughout their lifespan within a free-standing, not-for-profit tertiary care medical center in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The HI also serves to train categorical Pediatric Cardiology and sub-specialty fellows in all areas of congenital heart disease practice. Academic appointment within CCHMC is through the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Faculty responsibilities include the following, with additional roles as assigned:
