Job Title: Water Jet Operator
Location: Hendrick Technical Solutions – Charlotte, NC
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (First Shift)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Hendrick Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Water Jet Operator to join our team. The Water Jet Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining water jet cutting machines to produce precision-cut metal and composite parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with water jet cutting technology, understands material properties, and can read and interpret blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate water jet cutting machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of water jet machines.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Handle raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of experience operating water jet cutting machines.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water jet cutting technology, machine programming, and material properties.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Quality Focus: Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Preferred: Basic CAD experience and familiarity with other cutting operations such as laser or press brake.
