TCI Maintenance is hiring an experienced Reefer / Transport Refrigeration Technician in Converse, Texas!

📍 Location: Converse, Texas
📅 Shift Days: Monday through Friday
💰 Pay: $28.51–$37.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

🔧 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• ❄️ Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration systems.

• 🚛 Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailers and refrigeration units.

• ⚡ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.

• 🛠️ Repair and overhaul refrigeration components as needed.

• 🔍 Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.

• 📋 Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.

• 🦺 Follow safety procedures and applicable environmental regulations.

• 🤝 Work alongside a team committed to quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

🎯 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• ✅ 2–4 years of mechanical or refrigeration experience, with 3+ years preferred.

• ❄️ Experience with transport refrigeration systems, including Thermo King or Carrier Transicold, highly desirable.

• 🔧 Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration components.

• 📜 EPA Section 608 certification required and must remain current.

• 🛠️ Ability to use industry tools and diagnostic equipment.

• 💻 Basic computer skills and ability to document repairs.

• 🌡️ Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

• 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• 📚 Vocational or technical training preferred.

• ⭐ ASE certifications a plus.

• 🚛 CDL with air brake qualifications preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
