General Manager

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Hotel Equities. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

• Provide strategic leadership for hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Drive financial performance by supporting revenue, profitability, labor, and market-share objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction for assigned hotel operations and associates.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance, productivity, and service standards.
• Coach, train, develop, and recognize associates to support engagement and retention.
• Monitor operational and financial performance and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
• Ensure compliance with Hotel Equities standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
• Respond effectively to guest concerns and support a consistent service-recovery culture.
• Manage schedules, staffing, supplies, and departmental resources as appropriate.
• Review reports, trends, and key performance information to support sound decisions.
• Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred for director-level roles.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience appropriate to the position.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred for management roles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze information and make sound operational decisions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

• 2 Years of Select-Service Experience. Marriott Preferred.

• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the hotel as needed.
• Use computers, tablets, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift or carry supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Travel throughout the property and occasionally off-site for meetings and business needs.
