Sales Administrator

Description

 Summary

Provide dedicated administrative support to a Senior Sales Representative, managing the paperwork, scheduling, and customer follow-up behind their residential accounts so they can focus on selling.

Essential functions

• Handle the paperwork flow for the Senior Sales Representative’s residential accounts
• Enter jobs and services into the computer system
• Put together work packets for installers on the Senior Sales Representative’s jobs
• Create Change Orders
• Assist the Senior Sales Representative with day-to-day processes and keep their pipeline organized
• Help the Senior Sales Representative with computer issues and company software
• Help handle customer complaints on their accounts
• Prepare paperwork for returns
• Print Job Schedule reports and coordinate with accounting to create COD invoices
• Assist the Senior Sales Representative and Sales Manager with developing tools and procedures to streamline work processes
• Help grow the Senior Sales Representative’s customer base and develop relationships with prospective clients

Requirements

Required qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of administrative, office, or customer service experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new software quickly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with orders, measurements, and paperwork
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication, by phone and in person
• Ability to manage several jobs at once and meet deadlines
• Basic math skills (calculating square footage, pricing, and totals)
• Ability to handle confidential customer and pricing information with discretion

Preferred qualifications
 

· Experience in flooring, home improvement, construction, interior design, or another installation-based industry

· Familiarity with flooring products (carpet, hardwood, LVP, tile, laminate) and installation terms

· Experience with flooring or construction software 

· Experience supporting a sales representative or executive directly
