Job Title: Surgical Technologist/Technician

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekends Only (10 hour days)

10 hour days schedule: 7am-5pm or 9am-7pm depending on department needs.

• These positions also requires weekday, weekend and holiday call requirements (must report to the hospital within 30 mins).

• Orientation will be Monday through Friday from 6:50am until 3:20pm with off shift rotation. Must be able to orientate full time for 6 months.

Job Description:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in bringing smiles, hope, and expert support to children undergoing surgery. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and have a passion for pediatric care, this is your chance to make a real difference one procedure at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover by arranging sterile setup of instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies required for specific surgical procedures according to surgeon preferences.

• Consult with the physician before the case to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready. Assist with sponge and needle counts before, during, and after closing.

• Keep current with technical advancements and professional trends within the operating room setting.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed a Surgical Technician program.

• New graduates and experienced Surgical Technologist's welcome to apply; pay based on experience.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

• Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.
