Ecommerce Digital Merchandising Manager

This role is responsible for collaborating with the Vice President of Ecommerce, Marketing, Product, and cross-functional business teams to execute Visual Comfort & Co.’s digital merchandising strategy. Duties include managing the day-to-day execution of the digital storefront, optimizing product presentation and discovery across digital channels, supporting product launches and marketing initiatives with elevated online shopping experiences, and driving product discoverability, conversion, and online sales through site navigation, search, content, category pages, product listing pages, product detail pages, and recommendation experiences.

How success is defined:

• Develop and execute the digital merchandising strategy and content calendar across the homepage, navigation, search, landing pages, category and collection pages, product listing pages (PLPs), product detail pages (PDPs), and product recommendation experiences to support business objectives and seasonal priorities.
• Translate product launches, campaigns, promotions, inventory positions, and commercial goals into compelling onsite merchandising experiences while overseeing product discovery through taxonomy, navigation, filters, attributes, ranking, badging, cross-sells, and recommendations.
• Manage and optimize Bloomreach site search functionality, including synonyms, redirects, ranking rules, promoted products, and zero-result queries, while identifying customer search trends and opportunities to improve product discoverability and conversion.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Creative, Planning, Analytics, and eCommerce teams to align product presentation, storytelling, testing strategies, and customer journeys with brand and commercial objectives.
• Oversee digital merchandising readiness for launches and promotions by ensuring accurate product placement, content, pricing, inventory availability, links, functionality, and overall site experience across devices.
• Create and maintain landing pages and other onsite content through the content management system (CMS), ensuring consistency with brand standards and merchandising priorities.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, conversion, average order value, revenue per visitor, search performance, and engagement; provide actionable recommendations and serve as a primary business partner to IT and technology vendors to support enhancements, testing, and platform improvements.
• Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, site merchandising, or a related retail discipline, with a proven track record of improving product discovery, conversion, and overall online merchandising performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role.
• Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating Systems and Programs, including experience with Bloomreach or comparable search and merchandising platforms; Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of site search, navigation, taxonomy, category merchandising, product ranking, recommendations, content management systems, and digital merchandising best practices.
• Demonstrated analytical, commercial, and project management acumen, with the ability to interpret customer behavior and performance data, manage cross-functional initiatives, and translate insights into actionable business results.
• Experience developing, executing, and evaluating A/B testing and other digital optimization initiatives to enhance customer experience and site performance.
• Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation while demonstrating exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings.

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $115,000

Compensation is based on individual factors, including skill set, relevant experience, and work location
