- Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI): Chair the QAPI and Falls committees; develop data-driven initiatives for falls, wound care, and restorative programs.
- MDS & Assessment: Lead the interdisciplinary team in the MDS process; coordinate comprehensive RN assessments and ensure accurate, timely electronic submissions to state databases.
- Infection Prevention: Manage the infection prevention program, analyze health data, and provide essential education to healthcare staff in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator.
- Resident-Centered Care: Foster an environment supporting the six dimensions of wellness (physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual).
- Leadership: Serve as a clinical resource for staff, investigate care-related concerns, and act as a backup to the Nurse Navigator.
- License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience: 3–5 years of nursing experience in long-term care, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Certifications:
- Infection Control Certification (Required).
- Current CPR Certification (Required).
- AANAC Certification (must be completed within the first 6 months of employment).
- Skills: Proficient in MDS computerized programs and standard office software; strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of general nursing principles and state/federal health regulations.
