Ready to Power a Smarter World with us?

Generac Residential is hiring a Senior Product Manager to help our dealers install, maintain and troubleshoot our products in the field. Your portfolio will include delivering applications, experiences and processes with massive daily impact in the lives of thousands of dealers and millions of customers. This position is for you if:

• You’re a lifelong learner and puzzle solver - complex problems involving technology, business processes and human dynamics are the kind of thing that stimulates your curiosity.

• You're a builder at heart - you'd rather put a prototype in front of a customer next week and learn from the source, rather than polish a requirements doc for a month.

• You’re an extreme owner and an obstacle remover, and prefer bringing to the table solutions rather than problems.

• You lead by example and integrity, and expect others to do the same. You enjoy building strong partnerships with colleagues across organizations.

• You communicate clearly enough to move executives and concretely enough to move engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Internalize the user: Develop a deep understanding of installers, service technicians, and our internal service organization. Identify gaps in their workflows, both external and internal, and bring ambitious solutions to the table.

• Combining input from multiple business units with your own vision for the field experience, drive roadmap alignment and earn executive buy-in through compelling communication, clear trade-offs, and decisions that close rather than linger.

• Build, don't spec: Prototype with AI tools, partner with engineering, design, and functional leaders to shape the solution as it's being built.

• Own outcomes, not features: Run pilots with real dealers, watch what they do, and iterate fast. Drive relentlessly toward the result you committed to, not the feature you scoped.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive Product Management experience with mobile/web applications.

• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives that required alignment across multiple business units or executive stakeholders, and shipping products that depend on hardware or firmware releases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with mobile applications, particularly field or technician-facing apps.

• Experience with hardware-connected software products (IoT, energy systems, industrial equipment) and familiarity with solar, energy storage, generator, or adjacent industries.

• Track record of conceiving, developing, and launching new software products or SW/HW integrated solutions, with a strong focus on user-centered design and outcome-based metrics.
