Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Operations Manager oversees daily waterpark food and beverage operations, including quick-service restaurants, high-volume kiosks, and food stands. This role focuses on front-line execution, line speed, food quality, and delivering outstanding hospitality to ensure guests feel genuinely cared for throughout their visit. Working alongside a peer Food & Beverage Support Manager in an equal co-leadership structure, you will lead, coach, and inspire our seasonal team to embody a guest-first mindset while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The position requires proactive engagement with guests, addressing concerns on the floor with warmth and urgency, and maintaining a welcoming, high-energy environment across all revenue locations. 

Position Responsibilities:

Guest Hospitality & Experience:

• Champion a guest-centric culture across all outlets, training and empowering staff to cater proactively to guest needs, anticipate requests, and deliver friendly, warm service. 
• Ensure Food & Beverage staff is upholding the Typhoon Texas Moment Making Keys; Texas Friendly, Intentionality, Safe, Clean, Fun. 
• Actively engage with waterpark guests on the floor to gather feedback, resolve concerns immediately, and ensure every interaction reflects high hospitality standards. 
• Ensure all food and beverage touchpoints maintain a welcoming atmosphere, clean dining areas, and clear, helpful communication with park guests. 

Revenue Strategy:

• Lead front-line Food & Beverage and Rentals teams to drive outlet throughput and exceed guest satisfaction and revenue goals. 
• Collaborate with Park GM and corporate leadership on venue positioning, product offerings, and pricing strategies that enhance the guest experience and drive park spend. 
• Monitor real-time sales performance across kiosks and high-traffic locations to capitalize on peak park attendance windows. 

Operations & Service Excellence:

• Maintain a strong, constant physical presence on the waterpark floor, actively walking high-traffic revenue locations, entrance plazas, and concession stands to support operations and guest flow. 
• Manage speed-of-service and line flow at peak meal times across kiosks and stands, so guests spend less time in line and more time enjoying the park. 
• Conduct daily audits of kiosks and food stands to ensure food quality, presentation, equipment functionality, and cleanliness meet company standards. Review deficiencies with staff for immediate coaching. 
• Oversee opening and closing procedures for all food locations, including register audits and venue security at park close. 
• Be physically present during peak operational demands, early mornings, and late park nights to support staff and ensure outlets are fully prepped for heavy guest flow. 

Staffing & Team Leadership:

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of seasonal team members, instilling a strong emphasis on service excellence and hospitality. [DT1] [CH2] 
• Partner seamlessly with your equal co-manager to maintain uniform standards, clear shift handoffs, and consistent direction across all venues. 
• Ensure all team members have the tools, hands-on training, and floor support needed for success, cultivating a supportive, team-first park culture that keeps seasonal staff engaged and motivated to care for our guests. 
• Oversee all food outlet signage and menu boards to ensure accurate pricing and brand alignment.
• Other duties as designated by the General Manager, Asst. General Manager, Vice-President(s), and/or President.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older 
• Candidates should be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and performing occasional physical activities like bending, stooping, and climbing 
• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage, theme parks, or similar operations 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey data and analysis to management
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to positively influence and lead in a team environment, generating innovative solutions to complex challenges
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
• Work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays 
• Strong experience in training and presentation skills to develop large teams 
• Experience with Microsoft, Scheduling Software, Point of Sale and Inventory Systems.
• Have or be able to obtain Food Handler’s Permit, Food Manager’s Certification and TABC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in Revenue Operations leadership. Industry (Water Park, Theme Park or other related entertainment) strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel and Purchase Order systems
• Leadership and/or revenue management experience
