Busser/Food Runner

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers food and beverages from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
• Refills beverages and responds to guest requests in a timely manner
• Assists with initial table service, such as water, bread, or welcome items
• Answers basic guest questions about menu items and relays requests to servers
• Ensures order accuracy, with attention to allergies and special requests
• Assists servers in clearing and resetting tables to restaurant standards
• Performs side work such as polishing silverware, refilling condiments, and crumbing tables
• Prepares and resets tables before and after guest use, removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service
• Acts as a liaison between kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, communicating order priorities and special requests
• Maintains compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Supports team members during peak service periods and relays guest feedback to appropriate staff

Skills, Knowledge and Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout shifts
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and service items
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling
