- Recruit, train, schedule, and equip bakery volunteers, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Establish and enforce food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards for the bakery, ensuring compliance with applicable health regulations and church policies.
- Manage the bakery’s business operations with a high level of detail and accuracy, including the bakery budget, purchasing, inventory controls, and tracking of revenue and expenses; serve as the primary point of contact for customers and service providers on orders, deliveries, and issue resolution, ensuring business decisions support the learner experience and the bakery’s ministry purpose.
- Prepare and equip learners and volunteers to complete bakery tasks successfully and safely, providing hands-on assistance in all aspects of the bakery, including but not limited to food handling procedures, kitchen preparation, product management, and cleaning.
- Foster good communication with learners, families/caregivers, volunteers, fellow staff members, customers, and service providers.
