Within the Neurobehavioral Unit, SLPs evaluate and treat functional language through approaches that may include verbal communication, AAC, signs, play, literacy, feeding/swallowing, and voice skills. Staff and caregiver training are also integrated into care.
Across rehabilitation services, SLPs work as part of an interdisciplinary team and may address speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, oral motor, feeding/swallowing, and augmentative and alternative communication needs.
