We are seeking an experienced Medication Administration Program Rest Home Onboarding Specialist- Contractor for a one-year engagement to provide advanced clinical consultation, training, and technical assistance to licensed Massachusetts Rest Homes as they prepare to implement the Medication Administration Program (MAP). The assignment is expected to involve consultation with multiple Rest Homes and may require travel to facilities throughout Massachusetts.

Working at a level of responsibility and clinical expertise equivalent to a Registered Nurse IV, the MAP Rest Home Onboarding Specialist - Contractor will work directly with Rest Home administrators, nursing staff, Responsible Persons, unlicensed personnel, MAP Consultants, and other stakeholders to assess existing medication management practices and prepare facilities for successful implementation of MAP policies and procedures.

This is a highly independent, field-focused consulting role requiring strong clinical judgment, regulatory knowledge, teaching skills, and the ability to translate MAP requirements into practical and sustainable medication administration systems. The MAP Rest Home Onboarding Specialist - Contractor will play a central role in helping Rest Homes identify gaps, strengthen medication management practices, prepare staff for certification, and establish systems that promote regulatory compliance and resident safety.

The ideal candidate will combine strong nursing expertise with the ability to function as an educator, advisor, assessor, and implementation partner. The position requires an individual who can independently evaluate existing practices, identify compliance and patient-safety risks, communicate required changes constructively, and help Rest Homes translate regulatory and MAP requirements into workable day-to-day practices.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with facilities at different levels of readiness and will use education, coaching, technical assistance, and continuous quality improvement strategies to build sustainable medication administration practices.
