Facilities Systems Supervisor - Suffolk County Courthouse

Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
• At least five (5) years of related work experience
• License in a skilled trade (E.g. Mandatory Electrician, Plumber, 
HVAC/Refrigeration)
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for 
meeting minimum qualifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of:
• Trial Court Safety Policies and Procedures
• State Building Codes
• National Fire Protection Codes (NFPA)
• Sprinkler system
• Fire alarm system
• Building materials
• Automated energy management systems
• Computerized work order system

Skill in:
• Organization and prioritization
• Verbal and written communication
• Time management
• Troubleshooting equipment

Ability to:
• Work with hand and power tools
• Create spreadsheets
• Provide clear instruction to contractors

Supervisory Responsibility: This position serves as a supervisor to others.

Working Conditions: Work is frequently performed in office or similar indoor environments, outdoor 
environments, warehouses or file/storage environments and shops/facilities 
environments.

Physical Demands: This position requires Heavy Work.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently,
