JOB SUMMARY: 

The clerk plays a crucial role in keeping things running smoothly by overseeing communications in the Hotel Housekeeping office and helping out with a variety of essential housekeeping tasks each day. When acting as a Supervisor, you will supervise, direct, assist, and monitor the job performance of all Hotel Housekeeping Team Members, ensuring the completion of housekeeping tasks at a level that upholds our esteemed reputation.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – HOUSEKEEPING CLERK:

• Answer incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm, friendly greeting 

• Utilize, maintain, and monitor the daily status of Hotel Housekeeping systems to ensure all activities are completed within standards set by Hotel Housekeeping Management 

• Work with the supervisory team to create and maintain daily reports for distribution to Hotel Management

• Assist with the delivery of guest requests when needed

• Perform the duties of the Room Attendant, Houseperson, Laundry Attendant, and Housekeeping Quality Assurance as needed

• Maintain a clean office environment

• Maintain all radio and device logs and inventory for the department, reporting discrepancies to leadership when discovered

• Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – SHIFT SUPERVISOR:

• Ensure the turnover of all vacant and clean rooms in a timely manner; verify stayovers, report early check-outs, communicate issues and discrepancies; and ensure maximum guest satisfaction with the front office

• Supervise, direct, assist, and monitor the performance of all Hotel Housekeeping Team Members to ensure the completion of housekeeping tasks and perform all duties of all Hotel Housekeeping Team Members as required

• Serve as a leader for Team Members while fostering teamwork, Team Member morale, motivation, and open communication

• Ensure all Hotel Housekeeping Team Members are well trained with an emphasis on detail to provide service levels consistent with the accepted concept for the hotel

• Follow inventory and purchasing procedures to achieve budgeted expenses

• Maintain key control within the department

• Accountable for the follow-up with department walk-throughs, special cleaning projects, and maintaining of department cleanliness and training standards

• Follow and ensure security and safety guidelines are in place

• Maintain and monitor lost and found system

• Follow up and reconcile all guest concerns or complaints relating to their stay

• Complete room inspections daily

• Provide direction and support for all Team Members to achieve department goals and objectives

• Coach and develop Team Members using a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations

• Responsible for or actively participates in the initiation of personnel actions, including but not limited to interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions

• Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with Team Members and guests

• Other duties as required to deliver excellent service 

• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or GED is required

• Two years of housekeeping experience is required

• One year of supervisory experience is preferred

• Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

• Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, supervisory, and guest service skills and excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience working with Biohazards and knowledge in dealing with Blood-borne Pathogens

1. Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and must be able to operate a handheld smart device

2. Self-starter: must work without close supervision and have the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

3. Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

• *Knowledge of hotel and housekeeping computer systems and programs

1. *Knowledge of Harrah's employment policies, BBP Training and Risk Management

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, grip items, work in small, shared office spaces, and walk and stand for long periods

2. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and read, write, speak, and understand English

3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds

4. Must be able to work with various chemicals

5. Must be able to work around dogs/pets

6. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including second-hand smoke

7. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
