Associate Veterinarian

Company Description

A practice with over a century of history, in the Horse Capital of the World.

Marion Veterinary Hospital is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Ocala, Florida. Founded in 1910, we're the oldest veterinary practice in Ocala, and we've spent more than a hundred years earning the trust of this community. If you want an established small animal hospital with a loyal client base and a place to live where the water is crystal clear and the pastures are rolling, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

Join a full-service companion animal hospital with deep roots, a welcoming team, and the kind of long-term client relationships that make general practice rewarding.

• Full- or part-time schedule available
• Primarily weekday hospital hours, with the day wrapping up at 6 PM
• Competitive salary + production, relocation assistance, and a full benefits package
• Full-service care: wellness, surgery, dental, in-house diagnostics, boarding, and grooming
• A supportive team and the freedom to practice quality medicine your way
• No state income tax in Florida, so more of your paycheck stays yours

Why Ocala?

Ocala is one of those rare places that feels like small-town Florida but offers far more than you'd expect.

• Welcome to the Horse Capital of the World®. Marion County is home to roughly 600 thoroughbred farms and rolling pastures you'd more expect to see in Kentucky. Farm tours, carriage rides, and horse country drives are a regular weekend option.
• The World Equestrian Center is the largest equestrian facility in the U.S., with more than 40 competitions a year, restaurants, shopping, and a spa. You don't have to ride to enjoy a day there.
• Silver Springs State Park, often called Florida's first tourist attraction, offers glass-bottom boat tours over crystal-clear spring water.
• Swimming holes year-round. Rainbow Springs stays a refreshing 72°F all year, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, tubing, and paddling.
• Ocala National Forest covers more than 600 square miles of trails, camping, and spring-fed swimming at places like Juniper Springs and Alexander Springs.
• A walkable historic downtown. Ocala's nickname is "Brick City," and the downtown square is full of local restaurants, galleries, and shops. The Appleton Museum of Art and Sholom Park add culture and calm.
• Quirky local gems. Check out the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing, or let the family loose at the Discovery Science Center.
• Easy access to the rest of Florida. Gainesville is about 40 miles north, and Orlando, Tampa, and both coasts are within roughly 90 minutes.
• A natural fit if you like animals. Beyond small animals, you'll find yourself living in a community where animals are a big part of the culture, and where horse people and dog people mix easily.
