Purpose & Impact:

The Senior Internal Wholesaler drives sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income by serving as the strategic inside partner to the Vice Presidents of Regional Distribution, jointly covering retirement plan advisors, regional consultants, partners as recordkeeper, and their field sales organizations across assigned territories. The role serves as the primary inside point of contact for advisors and recordkeeper field teams, generating and qualifying leads, conducting virtual sales meetings, scheduling high-value field opportunities, and advancing pipeline via proactive phone and video engagement. The role reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution, is measured on activity, pipeline, and shared territory sales results, and requires up to 20% travel for field meetings and events.

We expect candidates to come in with DCIO and/or DC Recordkeeping experience. A structured training program builds expertise in guaranteed income and private assets during the first year, with ongoing support from product and investment specialists.

Key Deliverables:

Partner with the Vice President of Regional Distribution to build and execute a territory plan, including advisor targets, recordkeeper priorities, outreach cadence, pipeline goals, and sales targets.
Serve as the primary inside contact for recordkeeper field teams. Learn their coverage models and advisor relationships to identify opportunities across available platforms.
Engage advisors, consultants, and recordkeeper sales teams by phone and video. Lead virtual education meetings, qualify opportunities, and secure meetings for the regional team.
Prepare for sales presentations, finalist meetings, webinars, and field events; coordinate specialists and other resources, then own timely follow-up and next steps.
Explain how private assets and guaranteed income can address advisor, plan sponsor, and participant needs, bringing in specialists when deeper technical expertise is needed.
Coordinate with Apollo’s wealth team and other distribution partners. Keep Salesforce activity and pipeline reporting current, use data and AI tools appropriately to sharpen targeting, and follow licensing and documentation standards.

What You Need to Bring:

4+ years of DCIO sales or relevant professional experience, preferred.
Demonstrated success in internal wholesaling, sales support, or advisor relationship management, with an understanding of recordkeeper field teams and advisor-led distribution.
Knowledge of defined contribution plans and ERISA fundamentals, plus the interest and ability to build expertise in both guaranteed income and private assets.
Clear communication by phone, video, and in person; strong organization, disciplined follow-up, and CRM proficiency. Salesforce experience preferred.
FINRA Series 6 and 63, or Series 7, required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, preferred.

$95,360.00 - $143,040.00 USD Annual

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
