Cafe Manager (Full-time)

acac is seeking an energetic and experienced Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our café. This role is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and developing a high-performing team while ensuring exceptional service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.

What You’ll Do

• Provide strong, positive leadership and clear communication to café team members
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Oversee food preparation, storage, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Plan, market, and execute café menus and promotions
• Create and maintain schedules and staffing plans to support business needs
• Foster a welcoming, professional, and customer-focused team culture
• Manage café operations within budget and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Support and develop team members to build a strong, consistent café foundation
• Maintain an efficient, organized, and upbeat café environment

Role Breakdown

• 80% Hands-On Operations: Working on the café floor, supporting team members, preparing food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering exceptional member service.
• 20% Administrative & Leadership Duties: Scheduling, hiring and training, inventory management, ordering, reporting, and planning menus and promotions.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• ServSafe certification required
• Knowledge of daily café and food service operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, energetic, positive, and proactive approach
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and high service standards
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a shift
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs

Company expectations

• Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook
• Park in team member designated areas
• Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean
• Attend mandatory Personal Training meetings
• Assist with Service Days, as assigned by Supervisor
• Assist with club programs, special events, or activities, as assigned by Supervisor
• Promptly respond to work-related correspondence
• Exhibit a positive attitude at all times
• Deliver outstanding service to members and guests, following acac’s Five*Star principles

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 hourly. Placement within the range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, the responsibilities of the position, and internal equity.
