Bond Accountant 1

The Office of Single-Family Housing, Loan Administration Division is looking for a dedicated Bond Accountant 1 who will perform loan administration duties on single-family second mortgages, which includes:

• Processing requests for lien releases, forgivenesses, subordinations, assignments, assumptions, and recapture reimbursements  
• Verifying amounts payable and generate payoff letters
• Reviewing loss mitigation requests such as modifications, short sales, deed-in-lieus
• Amortizing second mortgage series and clearing up over/short payments
• Looking up and entering data on bankruptcy and foreclosure actions
• Responding to requests and providing documents as appropriate
• Tracking communication and actions in file notes and storing documents in correct folders
• Answering agency phones for 3 hours a day and monitoring faxes and routing calls or faxes to correct department
