Our community dental clinic serves Medicaid patients and underserved individuals and families throughout the Roanoke area. We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect while receiving quality dental care.

We are looking for a dependable, positive, and patient-focused Front Office Team Member to be one of the first welcoming faces our patients see.

What You'll Do

As a member of our front office team, you will help create a welcoming and organized experience for every patient. Responsibilities may include:

• Greet patients warmly and professionally
• Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule dental appointments
• Check patients in and out efficiently
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and Medicaid coverage
• Collect required patient information and documentation
• Explain appointments, office procedures, and financial responsibilities clearly and respectfully
• Assist with patient forms and paperwork when needed
• Help maintain an effective schedule by addressing cancellations and open appointments
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient needs and scheduling concerns
• Maintain accurate patient information in the dental practice management system
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Provide compassionate service, particularly when working with patients who may experience barriers to receiving dental care
• Support other front office duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Previous dental or medical front office experience
• Experience working with Medicaid patients or insurance verification
• Experience with dental practice management or electronic health record software
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge of dental terminology
• Bilingual skills are a plus
