Kitchen Utility Independent Living:

Starting pay is $17/hour!

Full Time Dishwasher Position: Hours can be scheduled between 8am and 8pm including weekends.

Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens. Awesome attitude; a smile is part of the uniform!

The Dishwasher's responsibility is to clean all equipment and wares used for the operation of the kitchen and dining areas in our Independent Living venues and maintain a clean and organized dish area. Our Kitchen staff is team oriented, high energy, meaningful work, and offers competitive pay.

What you'll do:

Sets up, loads, runs and unloads the dish machine

Monitors dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle

Scrub pots and pan

Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in accordance with standards

Stores clean utensils, dishes, and glassware in proper places

Stock and maintain supplies and equipment

Follow all food safely and sanitation guidelines

Ensures that dishes are readily available for the next meal

Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen

Keep floors clean and dry

Interact every day with staff and team

May assist wait staff with serving and bringing in dishes to the kitchen, when necessary

Perform any duties as requested by Kitchen Manager or Chefs

Experience and Education

Ability to communicate effectively to fulfill position responsibilities

Previous experience in food preparation preferred, but not required

Previous experience working in a restaurant, catering business, or hotel kitchen highly desirable

Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts and communicate effectively with coworkers

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds

High School diploma or GED
