Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related degree, from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of civil engineering experience, consulting preferred or a bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of civil engineering experience, consulting preferred.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This position would require experience at managing field engineering tasks as related to implementation of transportation and civil site design in the field.
The ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and interact with multiple entities on a management level including the contractor, owner, utility entities and commercial/residential stakeholders is a must.
Preferred experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, CDOT or CTA, but other relevant experience will be considered.
Must be self-starter capable of devising new approaches to encountered problems.
Tracking toward a PE license is a plus.
Valid driver's license required.
In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
