The E-Discovery Analytics Advisor provides guidance and support to case teams on their use of e-discovery technology throughout the e discovery lifecycle, with particular emphasis on the application of generative AI tools — including the RelativityOne aiR suite — to document review, privilege analysis, production, and case strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and strategize with case teams on the most effective application of technology in the e-discovery and document review process to support case strategy and goals, including assessing the appropriate use of generative AI.
- Serve as a subject matter resource on the RelativityOne aiR suite (aiR for Review, aiR for Privilege, aiR for Case Strategy, aiR Assist), advising teams on use case selection, scoping, and expected outcomes
- Draft, test, and refine aiR criteria and prompts — relevance and issue definitions, privilege criteria, confidential business information parameters, and custom analyses — and iterate based on validation results
- Assist in development and implementation of protocols and workflows for management and quality control of AI-assisted document review, privilege review, redaction, and production
- Design and execute defensibility measures for generative AI workflows, including sampling plans, precision and recall measurement, reviewer reconciliation of aiR predictions and rationales, and documentation sufficient to support meet-and-confer discussions, ESI protocol negotiations, and court inquiry
- Support pre-production workflows, including AI-assisted privilege identification and privilege log generation, PI/PHI and CBI detection, and redaction quality control prior to production
- Provide direct user management support and counsel for e-discovery applications including RelativityOne and Opus 2
- Assist and work alongside E-Discovery Advisors in support of cases and projects
- Train attorneys and colleagues on usage of e-discovery technology related to document review, including practical instruction on generative AI tools, prompt drafting, and interpretation of AI output
- Stay current on generative AI developments in e-discovery, including case law, judicial standing orders, court disclosure expectations, and evolving industry practice, and translate those developments into practical application
