WHY CHOOSE FRONTIER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH?

Inpatient Psychiatric ARNP "Moonlighters" are hired to fill “as needed” shifts and weekend shifts that are not on a pre-set schedule .  Such employees do not hold a full-time equivalent or FTE position, they are scheduled according to the fluctuating needs of FBH.

Our current need is for coverage for Weekdays.

Expectations of the Workday Length.

On both weekends and weekdays, it is expected that the Moonlighter will see all assigned patients for however long it takes to address patient care needs.  The length of the workday may vary greatly depending on patient census and medical needs of the patient population on any given workday.  If the Moonlighter’s workday ends before 5:00pm, it is expected that the Moonlighter will remain available until 5:00pm by phone, with the ability to come onsite if needed.

The Inpatient ARNP Moonlighter performs psychiatric evaluations, formulates diagnosis, evaluates the need for medications, laboratory studies, and imaging, and prescribes accordingly and as licensed by law.  The ARNP participates in the development of treatment plans, including reviewing cases with the treatment teams ensuring patient care is delivered in an evidence-based, trauma informed manner. Case consultation with other FBH staff, residential providers and families is provided upon request.  The ARNP may, on occasion, be asked to help provide coverage for another inpatient unit or in the outpatient setting.
